Handspun Coiled Art Yarn – Corriedale Cross Wool
This one-of-a-kind thick-and-thin coiled art yarn is lovingly hand dyed and hand spun using Corriedale Cross wool roving. Each skein is an expressive, tactile yarn with organic texture, movement, and character — made slowly by hand, embracing the beauty of variation and imperfection.
Perfect for weaving, fiber art, wall hangings, mixed-media work, and other creative projects where texture takes center stage.

Tips for Working with Handspun Coiled Art Yarn
Handspun coiled yarn is a delicate, expressive fiber and should be handled gently. Some skeins may include added elements such as silk or thread, which can shed if handled roughly. Coiled yarn also contains a specific amount of twist — pulling too firmly or twisting in the opposite direction can cause it to unwind.
Cutting Your Yarn – Preserving the Coils
• Before cutting, wrap two thin strings or threads 2–3 times around the yarn above and below the cut point and tie each with a secure double knot. Leave about a 1” gap between the tied areas, then cut between them.
• Secure the cut ends by either:
- Tying a knot that includes both the fiber and the core, or
- Knotting the core string to the tied thread.
There are many ways to secure handspun yarn — don’t feel intimidated. With time and experience, you’ll find what works best for you.
